Food Trucks in the City

So word on the street is the next food truck extravaganza will be held this Friday, July 15th. I heard the last one was something that shouldn't be missed so I'm hoping to take full advantage.

According to their website, over 18,000 hungry people showed up to our first Truckeroo and all the food trucks had their busiest day since they have been in business.

The event is hosted by Truckeroo and will be held Friday, July 15th from 11:00 AM - 9:00PM at Half and M Street, SE across from Navy Yard Metro Station. You can expect to see 20-25 Food Trucks as well as listen to live music.

Admission is FREE!

Savvy Shopping: Lulus.com

For those who know me, know that I love cute, girly dresses. I can't remember who first turned me onto Lulus.com but it's become my go-to website to find dresses for any and every occasion.

I've bought everything from sundress to cocktail dresses and everytime I wear one, I get a ton of compliments. The best part of it is the dresses are really affordable, perfect for savvy shoppers who want to look great without spending a whole lot of money. Another great thing is they offer free shipping on purchases of at least $75.

Here are some of my the dresses I love on their website right now (just bought the one in the middle). And guess what, none of them are over $60.

Things to Do: Swing Dancing with Champagne & Cupcakes

On Friday, July 22, join the International Club of DC at Georgetown's Dumbarton House for Swing Dancing with Champagne and Cupcakes.

SWING INTO THE PAST - First ever swing dance night at Dumbarton House! Join us at Dumbarton house in Georgetown for an evening of jazz and swing dancing! Whether you come on your own or with friends this is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends while enjoying live music.

I've been to the Dumbarton House and it's a beautiful and historic home located in the heart of Georgetown. The lawn is expansive and it's a great place to just sit on the lawn and chat with friends or on a date while you enjoy the scenery, music and cocktails. My advice, bring a blanket or chairs if you don't like sitting on the grass.

It's only $12, but trust me it's well worth it. To learn more and to purchase tickets, click here.
